Lilongwe Water Board’s Board of Directors, led by Chairperson Inkosi ya Makhosi M’mbelwa V, embarked on a visit to the Board’s revenue generation projects to witness the progress and achievements firsthand. The team was impressed by the remarkable work done at the soon-to-be-launched Water Bottling Plant, a flagship project under the Public Sector Reforms initiative.

The bottled water plant boasts state-of-the-art facilities and adheres to stringent quality control measures, ensuring the production of top-grade bottled water. The plant’s infrastructure is designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind, featuring advanced water treatment technologies and eco-friendly packaging materials.

During the tour, the Board members observed the rigorous testing processes underway to guarantee the water meets international standards.

Inkosi ya Makhosi M’mbelwa V commended the LWB team for their dedication and hard work in setting up the plant, emphasizing the significance of diversifying revenue streams through business-oriented ventures.

The Board also visited the Kamuzu Dam 2 Lodge, a newly constructed facility offering conference spaces, a restaurant, bar, and stunning views of the Kamuzu Dam 2. This lodge will cater to various events and offer recreational activities, further enhancing the Board’s revenue generation capabilities.

The Chairperson expressed his enthusiasm for the potential of these projects, stating, “These ventures mark a significant milestone in our journey towards self-sustainability and revenue diversification. We are committed to providing quality services and products that meet the highest standards, and we believe that the Bottled Water business and the Kamuzu Dam 2 Lodge will become benchmarks for excellence in the nation”
